Welcome to Port Washington Estates — a place where neighbors are friends, the bay is our backyard, and a century of shared history shapes every sunset.

The Port Washington Estates Association (PWEA) is a membership corporation in the State of New York, lovingly stewarded by the families who call this corner of southwest Port Washington home. Our neighborhood stretches south of Reid Avenue, north of Luquer Road, east of Mackey and west to Beachway Estates — a small, tight-knit community bound together by shared bylaws, building covenants, and a genuine love for the place we share.

At the heart of PWEA is a nine-member Board of Directors, elected by and from the neighborhood itself. Most of the magic, though, happens in our committees — small groups of neighbors rolling up their sleeves to plan social gatherings, look after civic affairs, and care for our beloved beach. Every committee is open to residents, and we'd love to have you join one. The best way to know your neighbors is to work alongside them.

The crown jewel of our community is our 2½-acre private beach, mooring field, and docking facilities along the gentle shores of Manhasset Bay. Members in good standing — those current on their yearly dues — enjoy full beach and mooring privileges, and may even reserve a stretch of sand for private celebrations (details on the Beach Reservations tab).

Our story stretches back to 1909, written in deeds, records, and the countless small acts of care by generations of residents and volunteer Boards. Through it all, PWEA has remained what it was always meant to be: a group of neighbors, banding together to nurture the wonderful neighborhood and enviable quality of life we're all so lucky to share.
